Mollie Schollum

Mary (Mollie) Schollum is originally from Puhoi north of Auckland. She relocated to Otepoti to study at the Dunedin school of art in 2022. Having completed her level 5 and 6 diploma she is continuing her study in 2026 concentrating on developing her ceramic practice. Her handbuilt works are structures designed to support multiple layers of glaze. Pieces can be fired up to eight times, pushing the limits of both clay and glaze to the extreme. Current works are influenced by themes of excess, both nostalgic and reflecting on current affairs.
