Landmark
Bryn Corkery / Chris Schmelz / Kipp Goodall
22.05.2026 - 17.06.2026
Hutch is pleased to present Landmark, an exhibition featuring Dunedin School of Art alumni Bryn Corkery, Chris Schmelz, and Kipp Goodall. Bringing together photography, printmaking, and ceramics, the exhibition reflects each artist’s enduring connection to Ōtepoti Dunedin and the environments that have shaped their creative practices.
Through distinct material approaches and visual languages, the artists respond to the architecture, landscapes, and everyday spaces embedded within their personal histories. Drawing from experiences of living and studying in Ōtepoti, the works explore themes of memory, movement, place, and belonging.
Landmark considers the intimate relationships we form with our surroundings, the streets we travel, the homes we inhabit, and the familiar landmarks that quietly shape our sense of identity over time.
Landmark;A landmark is a prominent, easily recognisable feature in a landscape—such as a building, monument, or natural object—used for navigation or to identify a specific location. It also refers to a significant, historic, or turning-point event, decision, or discovery, often called a milestone.
