“Without You I’m Something” 21.11.2025 - 17.11.2025
‘Without you I’m Something’ is a conversation of self presentation, the rituals and choreography of getting dressed. This concept traces the rhythm of dressing as a daily rite, the addition and subtraction of thought processes, the intuitive decisions made honouring the intimate architecture of the body.
Ceramic forms of clothing and accessories hang waiting to be considered and recombined by the viewer. Freedom of expression is gained when stereotypical boundaries are collapsed and replaced by an inner construct harnessing memory and instinct.
This body of work considers the politics of preparation - internal dialogue exposed externally. Getting ready is not just a practical act, it’s a performance of self, a moment of consent between body and world. These ceramics respect this negotiation offering compositions that are both deliberate and fluid - I contain multitudes ~ A declaration of the self.
